Does VacHolster protect my vaccine from extreme temperatures and sunlight exposure?

To ensure the best possible health for your herd, care should be taken to maintain the effectiveness of the vaccine through proper storage and handling.

Much like your vaccine guns and the bottles you received the vaccine in, VacHolster is not intended to independently protect your vaccines from prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures or sunlight.

According to the Beef Quality Assurance National Manual (which can be found at https://www.bqa.org/resources/manuals), animal health products should be stored and handled “as outlined by the manufacturer label or as recommended by the herd veterinarian” (p. 60).  In general, steps should be taken to “protect animal health products from extreme temperatures and sunlight exposure” (p. 61).

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to proper handling and storage of vaccines. You should read and comply with the manufacturer’s label or the advice of your veterinarian for each type of vaccine that you use.

While the VacHolster is not intended to serve as long term storage for vaccines, the nature of having a second layer of material wrapped around portions of the gun does provide limited short-term protection from extreme temperatures and sunlight exposure. The VacHolster is also so quick and easy to take off and put on that in mere seconds it can be removed and placed in the cooler during breaks or slow periods.

When it is time to give shots and the vaccine comes out of the cooler, the VacHolster system provides the best end-use solution for keeping your vaccine handy for when you need it and out of your way when you don’t.

How do I track my order?

Use the tracking link sent to your email. It typically takes 5 business days for an order to process. You will receive a shipping email with tracking information once we ship your VacHolster. If you have not received a shipping confirmation and it is more than 5 business days since you placed your order, feel free to reach out to our customer support team at info@vacholster.com.

How long does it take to receive my order?

We typically ship all orders within 5 business days of receipt, and shipping typically takes between 5-8 business days. Your order should arrive at your door within 10-14 business days.

What is your return policy?

We believe you should be happy with our product. We offer a 30-day return window for unused items. For detailed guidelines please see our Returns Policy

What is your exchange policy?

Exchanges are accepted within 30 days. The item must be unused and in original packaging. Contact customer service at info@vacholster.com to initiate the exchange.

What are your business hours?

Monday - Friday from 9 AM to 4:30 PM. We are an online store so you can shop any time. We try to have someone near the phone during business hours, but we are still running a working cattle ranch. If you don’t reach us when you call, leave a message and we will call you back. We had the option to get one of those aggravating calling trees with a technical support robot, but we don’t like dealing with those, so it doesn’t seem right to ask you to.

Do you offer international shipping?

Not at this time. If you think we should, then let us know through email at info@vacholster.com.

What payment methods do you accept?

A list of all the payment methods that we accept can be found at the bottom of every page of our website. (Including this one.) We accept all major credit cards, Amazon pay, PayPal, Apple Pay and a bunch of others. We want it to be as easy as possible for you to buy our product.

How can I cancel or modify my order?

Please contact customer service info@vacholster.com within 24 hours to cancel or modify your order.

Do you offer product warranties?

No. We do not offer any warranty. We expect the VacHolster to last. Should you manage to break one during normal use, and should you be able to provide us with an interesting enough story about what happened, we might consider replacing it on a case by case basis.

Can I change the shipping address after placing an order?

Contact customer service at info@vacholster.com within 24 hours to request changes. Changes are possible before the order ships. After shipment, changes are no longer possible.

What should I do if my item is damaged upon delivery?

Immediately contact customer service at info@vacholster.com with photos.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

No. If you think we should, and you are willing to pay for it, then contact customer service at info@vacholster.com with your request, and we will consider it on a case by case basis.
